coexistence

    this is a Christmas structure in Naawan, a lively town in Misamis Oriental in the Philippines. it depicts a mosque (crescent) and a church (cross), with two hands reaching out to each other and holding the whole world.

    contrary to what the Philippine media has been reporting, there is actually peaceful coexistence among Muslims and Christians in most parts of Mindanao. while there have been numerous bombings in the past, these disturbances happened only in isolated areas in the region.

      this is really perfect i wish i'm there to see this in person. kaso i'm here in cebu na. i go to naawan every year to check out their yearly contest. its my first time to miss it. this is a great concept. i have friends who are muslims and im always mistaken for a muslim too. and i dont mind.
