      Here is the red velvet cake ball recipe. You can use different cake and frosting combinations. And also from a mix or from scratch.

      Can the cake balls be made ahead of time and frozen until ready to coat? I made these to take to work and they were flying off the tray and now one of the ladies wants me to make some for her, but doesn't need them for a couple weeks and I had free time this weekend.

      I actually haven't tried that yet. But I have been getting the same question asked lately. Next time I make them. I'll have to freeze some to test. But I do know they will last for several days after you make them if you keep them in an airtight container. I've eaten them up to a week later.

      I finally made mine! Devils food w/ cream cheese frosting and coated w/semi sweet chocolate chips!
      Yum..I cannot wait to try more flavors. I do have to say I probably gained some lbs. today:D
