Whoa, and a Whitehall number! My 312 works fine, just a little crackly, so I use a hands-free set for longer conversations... but nothing beats that ring-ring!

If its just a little crackly, you can change the old carbon granule microphone for a modern electronic version. Its makes a world of difference to these old Antique Telephones , bringing them up to modern telephone standards.

Absolutely gorgeous! It is nice to see some British telephones(your collection), because they are hard to find in the states(mostly ebay ship overs).

We use our 1959 330 every day (same as a 332 but without the little drawer underneath) - lovely sound when it rings, but I must admit it's a pain for calling 10-digit numbers, especially when they ask you to "Press 3 for general enquiries..." and you can't. Also, any visitors to the house who are less than 30 years old don't know how to make a call!

I greatly admire the quality of your photos. You don't realise how hard it is to get a decent photograph of a black telephone until you try.

Gorgeous phones, and very similar to the standard black bakelite sets used in Australia for decades.

And yeah - that ring is brilliant!
