Columbian Mammoth

Columbian Mammoth by Travis S..
Here is an articulated skeleton of a Columbian Mammoth. This was the most prolific of the mammoths during the Pleistocene and some think it to be the same species as the Imperial Mammoth which tended to be larger than these mammoth.

These mammoth are known for their large, curled tusks. This much material could be made into a variety of tools. One just needs to soak the ivory in water for a while before attempting to make something of it.

The Columbian Mammoth was thought to live on open plains and steppe environments.
