The giraffe is the only animal born with horns

    As giraffes are rarely heard, many people think they are mute. They are generally quiet, but will vocalize by emitting moans, hisses, snores, hisses, coughs, grunts, moos, snorts, bleats (similar to that of a young calf or sheep), low notes, low, fluttering sounds or flute-like sounds or whistles.

      a very educational series Jon - great - I have never been to Monarto - I have a "thing" about zoos, but would love to go have a tour here - the animals look pretty content :)

      This is the closest I have ever been to a giraffe before - its quite an experience looking eye to eye

      I fed one misteltoe and she got very close even felt her tounge touch my hand.
