Venus, the Moon, and Jupiter 3

On Dec. 1, 2008, there was a rare triple conjunction of these three objects, making a beautiful pattern in the early evening sky.

So the treo was a happy bunch when they were in the Far East, but something happened when they travelled through Europe (I think it has something to do with the Moon making a move on Venus), and by the time they got to the Americas, they were unhappy, I guess ;)
