• My lovely helper.
  • Fold your cuff together with the WRONG side facing in. You should see the bright "RIGHT" side of your fabric. Don't worry. It all works out.
  • The long tube sock pushed through the cuff, and pinned. All raw edges pinned together.
  • You should have three layers running under your foot. Two layers from the cuff and a layer from the tube sock. Sew with a small seam allowance.

A long-shot photo here would have been nice. THis was where I nearly gave up, and probably would have if I hadn't enlisted my husband's help for some problem solving.

A long-shot photo of the sock and cuff would have been nice. It's difficult to describe, but basically the pinned together product, at this step, looks like the sleeve of a shirt with the cuff turned up and pinned.

Once I got it all sorted in my head, and determined that I did not need to cut the foot bit of the sock, so could skip the cutting & sewing there, it took me about 5 minutes to make one. The longest part of the process being the pinning, as I pinned extensively to keep the fabric from rolling under/over as I was sewing.

    Anyway, hope these notes help.

And thanks for this tutorial -- I see making many pairs of these in my future...
