THANK YOU so much for your comments and invites !

I thought it was time I came out of my Summer Hibernation from Flickr, so here I am, LOL !!
Nothing clever about this snapshot, but I thought it might be of amusement to some !
Loved by all the tourists, the Highland Cow is indeed very photogenic. They are inquisitive too, which means they get very close.....mostly docile, but some can be skitterish ! There was a fence between me and this fine lady !
Seen here on the pass called "Druim nan Cleochd" which leads through to Sligachan and Portree.
The weather as you can see, was, and remains, very dour.....the day the kids broke up from school for the Summer holidays, the heaven's opened, for most of July, combined with total cloud cover on the hills, down to sea level ! Prior to that, we had an unprecedented dry spell that lasted for months!

Enjoy !!
ON EXPLORE FRONT PAGE 30th JULY 2010...and...
ON EXPLORE BEST POSITION #5......Thanks everyone !

He looks like the famous Highland Cow, Hemish....but I think all the Highland Cows look alike. Great pic, Barbara

Those cows still loiter with intent in the field near Sconser. You will soon be seeing more of them when you move !
