The Braes of Achnahaird are close to Achiltibuie, from where the Summer Isles can be viewed in all their glory.

In an area that has a higher population of sheep than humans, it is inevitable to include a shot with them as the focal point. Anyone that visits this area will know that they are all over the road, and like to jump out in front of your vehicle just for amusement !( but only if you are a tourist, locals have wised up to their antics a long time ago !!)
On this occasion, they were in just the right place, and combined with amazing light, I was pretty pleased for once with their company!
Another one of those days when the Sun failed to appear at all until the last moment, five minutes of Liquid Gold.
Worth the wait.

Absolute magic! Yours are the only images on Flickr that I consistently view large. It's so worth the extra few seconds (even when my stupid internet is slow like today!).
So tell me briefly what your waiting looks like. Do you camp there for hours with your car running to keep warm and hope you get a break in the clouds? Do you drive or hike around and hope you're in a good spot when the clouds break? I never can figure out how to wait out the bad weather.
