I've been fascinated by Brasilia since I was
13 years old and saw an article in the
National Geographic describing the city being
built from scratch in the middle of the
jungle. That was 45 years ago ! nice work!
There were no jungle where Brasilia was
built. The kind of vegetation there is called
"cerrado" and is similar to a
savanna. There is a misconception that Brazil
is all covered by jungles. Not true at all.
