There's another one on Mass Ave. It is on the east side of the bridge just south of Newburry.

@bellyrobber: Thanks, nice pic of that one. I tried to grab one, but your perspective is much better. Were you physically in the street on Mass Ave. taking this? :oP

What's the story of these? Same person going around Boston, I assume?

@Lella1225: Yeah, someone is putting up these awesome pieces all around Boston, though they can be hard to find, they're super fun to spot and shoot.
I've started to tag my pictures of these with the "go!mega" tag. Hopefully others will too.

Ah, nice...
I've seen a lot of Space Invaders mosaics on Flickr but this is the first Megaman I've run into. Obviously the greatest video game series ever (see icon, I might be biased).

@mooseherder: Biased or not, Megaman is the best video game series ever. I don't know about this new series of video games that looks an awful lot like pokemon but with a Megaman label - but you can't beat the old school stuff at all.
For more info on the mega-mosaics around Boston, I would check out this FlickR Photostream. I'm planning to find all of these around the city and snap em when the weather gets better.

This is incredible... I'm a big fan I have all of the games still hanging around from 1-8 and then x-x6.. not a fan of the newer ones, nor the RPG or gameboy ones either...
however, this really grabs my attention... these are actually placed around boston? any idea who has made these? they deserve a nice shake on the hand... this is effin great! haha I need come drive up and see some of these myself.

@Maverick3x6: Thanks for the kind words. I feel the same way about the MM games - give me the originals and x's but you can keep that 3d and pokemon-based stuff of the past few years.
These are indeed placed around Boston, though there is some speculation as to whether or not some of them have been taken down. I've been trying to find more and actually did today (to be posted soon), but in the meantime for more information you can check out the creator's photostream.

mosaics have been around for awhile, just like stencils. It just seems grafitti is getting more artsy :) Tags to bombin to pieces to posters to stencils to mosaics.
I like & respect mosaics because the time it takes to put them up is the longest. a paint tags fast, stencils are pretty quik. but to bust a mosaic, thats pretty sweet!!!!
