A "Model" Fenway Day

"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.
    Rogers Hornsby

A tilt-shift "Collabo" with the partner in crime in honor of opening week of Baseball season. I was hoping to create the illusion of a replica Fenway Park in the old toy/model format.

      Amazing, simply amazing picture.
I made it my desktop image.
Even though I look and look again, I cannot believe it's not really a model but a real image (or vice-versa).
      The colors are amazing !

PS : we can see that the .406 Club doesn't exist anymore

This is awesome. Truly looks like a model. The cars on the Pike look so tiny. I'm going there on Thursday.

Fabulous DoF, composition is spot on, the details are sharp and lifelike, it's an interesting subject, I could go on and on. Really, there's nothing to improve on IMO, so...

Just saw this in a link on tilt-shift from Make, and had a feeling it was yours... how many b tals are there in boston? Oh, probably a lot.

      Anyway, amazing.

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called 100 + Viewed Best Architecture Photos (add 1, award 1), and we'd love to have this added to the group!

The fake-ness of the photo is obvious because there is no clear line of focus that can be followed from one side of the frame to the other. If this were a real "tilt shift" photo there would be a perfectly sharp area to the left of the stadium.

"Fenway Park, in Boston, is a lyric little bandbox of a ballpark. Everything is painted green and seems in curiously sharp focus, like the inside of an old-fashioned peeping-type Easter egg." (John Updike, "Hub Fans Bid Kid Adieu")

This is a fantastic shot of a great ballpark. I hope you don't mind that I used it as a backdrop for a fun photo that I did for the 100 Possibilities group. I have properly credited and linked back to this shot. If not OK, please let me know.
