Dunluce Castle
The ruin of Dunluce Castle clings to the edge of a promonory on the Northern Ireland, County Antrim cliffs. It's one of the most iconic images from the Causeway Coast trail and rightly so.
With exposure to the sea's its a wonder that the remains are so well preserved. In the 1600's the castle kitchen fell into the sea resulting in the death of several kitchen hands.
I've friends coming to stay this weekend, some of whom will be running the GNR on Sunday morning and others who have a newborn with them.
The forecast is for no sleep tonight and baby photography tomorrow! :0)

Larry Bane Bay
Larry Bane Bay, Northern Ireland.
The white chalk cliffs lead to the stacks at the far end named Carrick-a-rede. There is a rope bridge allowing eager visitors to cross to the promontory.
I wasn't that eager (did I mention it was a rope bridge), I was just stunned by the colour of the sea!

Cara na Mara
The Cara na Mara (Friend of the sea) ran ashore in the 70's at Bunbeg beach, County Donegal, NI.
It's an awesome wreck stuck on the tidal sandbanks of what I can only describe as the most tropical looking water I've seen in the whole of the UK.
Sadly from where I was staying it was a good 2 hours in each direction drive, and it tanked it down constantly other than for 5 minutes when I managed to catch this shot. Even so I got soaked as the heavens opened again on the way back to the car.
Bunbeg is a beautiful location although I'd be lying if I thought there was sufficient to entertain a city dweller such as myself... other than trying to catch the perfect moment with this wreck.
Another for the Arnie list... I'll be back!

Ballintoy
Taken on a recent break to NI with my other half who in turn was accompanied by her work Blackberry. The three of us had an interesting time trawling around some of the most stunning coastal scenery I've seen and I managed to break the camera out between the almost incessant downpours. I can highly recommend the causeway coast and glens trail.
Ballintoy port is tiny, bordering on a hamlet although the town overall does have another remote street. a short walk from this scene is a coastal arch, very much photographed. Unfortunately the tide wasn't right to catch it this time. Another time perhaps, ideally with less rain.
I've had a funny time with Flickr of late, having not posted anything landscape for some time. Am I back? Maybe, (well I'm either back or I'm going to leave) but throughout its been a pleasure to look at all the work of my contacts and I have endeavoured where possible to continue to leave feedback.
