The caption below was written when I first posted this photo on September 16, 2006. i think I have gotten over all these explore interestingness a long long time ago, :-)

Explore... Interestingness....
2 months ago I never thought of those 2 words. Now...
Explore has been kind to me twice in as many weeks. Currently,

Anyway, this shot was on the 5 hours boat ride that took us from Siem Riep to Phnom Pehn. The three closest are Italians.
I'm dark skinned and I got burnt!!!

No. No.
This lasted 6 hours. It started by waking up early where a van picked us up and proceed to pick up more and more people. And more people..
The ride to the pier was long and we passed an a truck filled with tourists. At that time, all of us in the van laughed coz at least we had a roof over our head.
The boat we took cost USD25 and was filled with tourist. Honestly, at that price, I thought the boat would have an open deck instead of us sitting on the roof.

Photographying tourists is what I do when I visit places where it is not possible to picture it without them... this one is great !

I've decided to post this on all my pictures.
Firstly, thank you so much to all for visiting and commenting.
I'm a true believer in freedom of expression and I've been on Flickr long enough to take note of comment patterns (I believe that a score of 5/10 means the person is indifferent to the picture).
I would like to apologize to all as I've been guilty in deleting some comments coz I believe those scores are insulting to me and to all those who have commented.
I choose the pictures I upload and I would like to think that none of my photos deserve anything less than a 6/10. By scoring any less than that, you're saying I don't know how to take photo.
I had just found out that I'e been banned from a scoring group due to my comment deletion. Well, que sera sera...

Whats the point in posting a picture in a group looking for people to score it if you arn't willing to accept the scores people give? They arn't insulting you or others who comment, they are just giving their opinion...taste is a subjective thing. Just 'cos you believe all your photos deserve at least an 8 doesn't mean others will think that. They arn't saying you can't take a photo, they're just saying they don't like a particular photo. That's allowed isn't it?

Its not necessarily a bad thing, that's just life...

Yesterday marks my sixth month on Flickr and I mentioned in my latest posting that 6 more months till I buy myself pro account. Just delaying the inevitability :-P
I had just discovered that I am now a pro account holder (though not a professional photographer. Yet…). Is there a way to find out who gave it to me so I could properly thank the person for putting a big smile on my face and making my day? ☺
Hey! Now I could post to more than 10 groups and have more than 3 sets ☺
I would also like to take this opportunity to convey to my Flickr friends, my deepest gratitude to all of you who have kept in touch, made me contact, viewed my 84 photos so many times, commented and faved so many times because you have touched my life. Secondly, thank you so much for all the visits, faves, comments, emails, testimonials and contacts.

I came to flickr to share my photos but never in a million years it occurred to me that people I never meet could keep hurting me!
The final straw came yesterday when I was blocked by someone I really care about.

I cannot do anything with regards to the pain captioned in my latest photo but I can do something about my flickr pain.
Which is why I am removing ALL my contacts, testimonials and WILL NO LONGER REPLY ANY personal email. I will no longer take the risk of being hurt by people I never meet…
I would reply to questions regarding photography coz I do like to share knowledge.
I am sorry to those that might feel offended but please understand…
It is either that or deleting my flickr account…
And I would like to think there are people who still enjoys my photos…
I PROMISE THAT I WOULD NOT DELETE MY ACCOUNT AS LONG AS THERE IS AT LEAST ONE PERSON LEFT ON FLICKR WHO ENJOYS MY PHOTO.

I don't think it's "technically one of (your) worst" -- because i don't see any of your photos as "bad" technically. I see something "bad" only when the photographer failed to control the results, and a "good" shot is when the photographer controlled all possible variables just the way he wanted. What I'm say is an odd angle or bad exposure aren't always "bad technically". (And the most important part is that Flickr isn't a judge of photos, it's just a social network).

hey, Azli, sometimes you're a bit of a diva... c'mon, you're a fantastic photographer with fabulous shots and many people appreciate your work. If some decide to cut you off, forget them, I mean it's their loss... you diva lol as you said "temperamental"... emotions are the essence of human, but don't stress about ppl that don't deserve your work. Don't react on their moves... maybe that's their desire, to have an effect on you...
