Castello del Valentino – Torino - Italy
Costruito a partire dal XVI secolo, venne trasformato e ampliato, per volontà di Cristina di Francia, moglie di Vittorio Amedeo I, da Carlo e Amedeo di Castellamonte, (1620-1660): al gusto francese della madama reale si devono i tetti a falde inclinate.
Decaduta a partire dalla morte di Cristina di Francia, la residenza ebbe successive destinazioni d'uso: scuola di veterinaria nel periodo francese, caserma nel 1824, scuola di applicazione per gli ingegneri dal 1859, attualmente sede della facoltà di Architettura del Politecnico di Torino.

Valentino Castle - Turin - Italy
Built in the sixteenth century, was rebuilt and enlarged, by the will of Christine of France, wife of Victor Amadeus I, by Carlo and Amedeo di Castellamonte (1620-1660): French taste of the real lady have pitched roofs tilted.
Lapsed from the death of Christine of France, the residence was later uses: veterinary school in the French period, the barracks in 1824, a school of application for engineers since 1859, currently houses the Faculty of Architecture at the Polytechnic of Turin.
