head, shoulder, knees and toes, knees and toes

nike free, awesome shoes.
head, shoulder, knees and toes, knees and toes by aye_shamus.
52 weeks: week 04

stretching before my run. after a few month hiatus, i'm back into running. it feels great! i have much more energy throughout the day. it's so very nice to work up a sweat and zone off and play in my thoughts and fantasies backed by a good soundtrack. right now i'm running 3 miles 3 times a week. i'd like to get to a point where i run 5 miles 4 times a week. maybe i'll keep this up and run the chicago marathon next year. i guess time will tell.

the only thing i'd change about this photo is to get another flash for some rim light because my ass just falls off into black. i would also like some fill flash for the right side of my body. i'll probably get some new toys after my budget gets freed up a bit.

strobist: 580exii into reflective umbrella camera left 45 degrees, triggered by an elinchrom skyport.

And to think, some of us go for that intentionally.

I agree with the rim light but I think it is still a really cool photo.

Wow I wish I could do that!

The lighting works well, you pop out from the darkness and the yellow lines lead the viewer into the image.

cool shot, and even more impressive flexibility. if i tried to do this, i'm sure it would end in a visit to some hospital somewhere. :)

That is pretty cool. You put on your running stuff, went outside, set up your camera, took a few pics, went back inside, had a beer, and made up this story about running. Seriously though, very well executed and I don't think you needed the extra flashes.

using the term 'rim lighting' when referring to your ass is just wrong.

this is rather cool ..... I like the tension in the as-yet-unactualised potential ... without it being at all clear what the potential is .... Great shot!

This is an awesome picture. Congrats on getting back into running. I was injured a few months last year and had to forfeit my first half marathon .. so this year is the year for that! Good luck to you!
