Vineyards in Autumn (Sylvaner Müller-Thurgau Domina grapes) viewed from the 'Teufelskeller' vineyards overlooking Randersacker near Würzburg in 5 Nov 2005. Lower Franconia in northern Bavaria - home of Frankonian (Franken) wines.
The river is the River Main a tributary of the Rhine.

Thanks Phill. Although Franken is famous for its dry whites, reds are now profiting from global warming so they produce some good red wines too. The foliage of red vines turn red in Autumn, whereas the whites turn yellow.
