I've just added this photo to my growing list of favorites. You've somehow managed to combine the lighting of Ansel Adams with touches of Vermeer. The girl in mid-air jump seems to have been pasted on the photo afterwards, a halo of light so clearly delineating her from the rest of the canvas. Her sister, slowly walking out to sea, searching for something in the surf. Then the moist, rubbery sand and the way the angelic foreground lustre fades to the haunting wet blackness of the massive rock in the background - God, this is really a stunning photo!

There is something surreal in this image, a combinasion of a general sense of drama with the light, against the ingenuousness of the kids; the idea of flight against the heaviness of the rock and the vastness of ocean... quite a piece.
