Bodie cat

    I love this beastie! Met him in Bodie ghost town and only got a few frames off before he zoomed off, but man is he a beauty. (Sky ain't bad either.)

      Hands down, this image and its companion are the most dramatic, heroic cat photos I've ever seen (and I think we all, as Flickr members, qualify as [often reluctant] experts on cat photos). Well done.

      Your critters set is wonderful. So are all of your photos for that matter. I believe that taking pictures of animals is one of the hardest thing in photography. We tend to be overwhelmed by their cuteness and fluffiness. Your critters have a soul, a story to tell and dignity.
      Also, you take their portraits not just a picture of them.

      I love how the sky almost seems like an extension of the cat - or a shadow of the cat, or a projection of the cat - it gives the impression of the world being part of the cat, rathen than vice versa. Odd and marvellous.
