Spider Web Gravity Well

    Newer Older

The spider that made this seems to know a bit about how the pull of gravity bends near large objects.

    Probably best if viewed large.

This web is actually two webs connected at their centers. In the second web (which is not visible in the image), the spider had caught an insect. The act of wrapping that insect up for dinner in the second web caused it to pull on the center of the first web, creating this effect.
