Snapped forearm

One of our sons broke his arm two weeks ago (fell off a slide) and we had no idea. He's been complaining it hurt. So Suzanne took him in yesterday, and lo and behold, it was snapped clean through. Insane.

Last night my wife was telling me about friend who's son broke both arms at the same time. Is this what I have to look forward to?

Unreal. A friend of mine's son has a chunk of glass in his head for like 6 months or something that the doctors had accidently left in there after removing some other glass. I wonder which is worse...a broken arm or a chunk of glass in your skull.

Not too insane..I walked around with 2 double broken fingers in a theme park all day.

"It just hurts a bit, mommy, we don't neeeed to go to the hospital!"

Moral of my story: breaking them doesn't do quite as much pain as you'd think :)

I remember when I broke my arm around the age of 11 or 12. I told my Dad it was broken, I knew immediately. He kept saying that there was no way it was broken. A few hours later my Mother, an RN for 25 years at that point, came home and said - "Yep, it is broken.". I can't imagine dealing with that sort of break for a few weeks though.
