Many people have hoped for the death of plastic pink flamingos. They are campy. I have one that lights up from the inside. It actually looks nice.

I can't imagine where you got so many of these plastic icons, but it makes a great humorous photo.

You should strike back and start selling T-shirts and coffee mugs with this photo on them, via cafepress or a similar site :-) if you're going to have such hassles, at least make some $$ off of them. I think you'd have a guaranteed customer base since the photo seems to have taken on a life of its own.

This photo will have instant appreciative recognition among people in Winnipeg, for instance. Transcona has been associated with plastic pink flamingoes for many, many years :-)

I also saw this photo on icanhascheezburger today. I am amazed by how often this photo pops up in random places! It's a hard balance, I'm sure, between enjoying the popularity of your photo and hating that you never get credit.
