30 Days of gratitude- Day 8

30 Days of gratitude- Day 8 by aussiegall.
Today I am grateful for technology.
I have learnt so much via the internet.
I can be contacted or contact somebody via the mobile phone any time of the day and nearly anywhere (depending on coverage) and don't need to carry much cash on me just my debit/credit card.
I think back to when I was a teenager and there was no such thing as a mobile phone, the internet, ATM machines, ipods, how things have changed in a rather short period of time.

What you say is so true. I've been teaching for 15 years. When I started there was no internet, so no online sharing of resources or submission of assignments, data was kept in books, registers were done on paper and woe betide any teacher who didn't have a red AND a black pen for that job, memos were sent on slips of paper and took a day or more to get through internal mail, and so on. On a personal level, internet brought me my husband, some of my dearest friends and several hobbies. It also helps me to keep in touch with old friends and family scattered round the world. Progress is wonderful.

Lovely shot to illustrate this.

Nice old tech machinery shot.

As usual, the new technology brings with it good and bad.

The first mobile phone was so heavy ..the weight of a house brick and i can vividly remember sitting and litening to the radio..no TV .
Love the image.
