This house is the same layout as the old farmhouse I live in. It didn't make it into the 21st century.

Nice textures here. How sad and it doesn't
look like it could be rescued. How lucky you
are.

Lovely composition with the bare trees and
brown grass surrounding the house. Decay
certainly has its own beauty.

There is beauty in decay, isn't there? and
so many different ways for farmsteads to go.
Another flickrite has documented this place.
I'll have to find that link.
The link is here

Hey! I know this place!!!
I can't wait for spring to come so I can go
take some more closeups. Unfortunately, I
saw them moving some dirt around right near
it- I hope they aren't going to tear it down.

I just saw it for the first time the other
day. Then I found it on yours and jomo?'s
streams. Moving dirt around it? utoh.

Yeah, a bulldozer was moving some dirt
immediately east of the house :-( (which is
an odd thing to do when the ground is frozen
anyways)
Jowo lives in Mulliken, and I asked him if
he knew whether it would be demo'd or not,
and he hasn't heard anything.
There is another "rotting" house
about a mile west of this, on the north side
of the road. You might want to check it out
too :-)

Thanks, ten! I was coming home on Mt. Hope
from the Ionia road the other day. I caught
that other "rotting" house too late
to find a place to pull off. However, it did
slow me down enough so I could stop for this
one.
It was cool finding your stream and Jowo's
stream. Jowo has some pictures of my uncle's
house.

It is a small world, isn't it?
