hmmm....so glad that you commented on the syrup! it is such an important component and can detract from an otherwise good baklava...

Relieved to find another fan of non-syrupy baklava.

After rigorous testing =) the 'pyramids' are now the favourite. They consistently seem to be the least syrupy and have the most nut filling - woohoo!

I don't like mine too syrupy either, but unfortunately for me I can't even find any syrupy ones in Tokyo! Will have to make it myself some day.

mmmmm i love them! I managed to find an Arabic shop here in the South of England who sells them.... rather than travel to London, which is when I would usually buy them :o)
