James Reynolds

Sergeant James Reynolds in uniform and coverall. Reynolds was part of Rickenbacker's B-17 crew that was lost in the Pacific in 1942. Caption on verso reads, "Sgt. James W. Reynolds. Age: 25 (1942). Civilian occupation - farmer - typical farm boy speech. Height: 5 ft. 10 1/2 inches. Weight: 150 lbs. He weighed 130 before the Pacific flight and dropped to 85. Description: Slight, slender build, dark brown hair, rather heavy eyebrows that meet over the nose, wide mouth, twinkle in his eyes. He is of Scotch-Irish ancestry and was born and reared on a ranch in Northern California. Education: Common schools and the U. S. Navy. He enlisted in the Army before Pearl Harbor, specialized in radio, and is now technical sergeant in the Army Air Force. Has been married since the Pacific flight. Is a Protestant. Nickname "Jimmy." Small mustach on upper lip on the Pacific Mission, since cut off." Caption added as part of the research done for the movie "Captain Eddie."
