Richard![]() Cleaned up an older, underexposed version of this photo using Picnik via Flickr.
The old version is here for comparison's sake: flickr.com/photos/aturkus/137161821/ Get on up in this one. Better large: flickr.com/photos/aturkus/2434132519/sizes/l/ I've always loved this photo, but knew it needed additional processing. Much better now, IMHO. Picnick is scary easy to use and the results are good in this case. This version will replace the old version in my Portraits set. This photo makes me completely regret selling my 85mm f/1.2L lens last year. I sold it because I needed to raise some cash for Burning Man and because I knew there was a new faster-focusing version on the horizon. But here I am, going on a year later, and missing it like crazy. Wishing I had it frequently. Thinking about trading in my 16-35mm f/2.8L lens and getting the new version of the 85mm f/1.2L. But then I'll be pining for my 16-35. It's a conundrum. CommentsWould you like to comment?Sign up for a free account, or sign in (if you're already a member). |

Wow... f/1.2 at "portrait distance" on an 85mm has some mighty narrow depth of field! It really works here, too.
