Ducks in the lake of Sweetwater Creek Park in Autumn.

Last year during the eclipse, this was my attempt at it. Note the star/planet in the lower-left and moon on right.

The Winter of 2008 seemed to be yet another year without any measurable snowfall in Atlanta. Then, one day, POOF - it hit. It was like a mini-blizzard.

It hit in "ribbons", with some sections of the city getting many inches of snow in a very short amount of time, while others saw very little. I was at the Avenues of West Cobb shopping center when it hit HARD. We saw several wrecks like this on the attempt to get home (took one hour to go 7 miles). I'm still amazed at how people try to drive 70mph in weather like this when it hits here - this is the result.

People will meet up in the Square in Dahlonega and have mountain music jam sessions. If you look at the "Bear in the Square" set I have on here you'll see a ton of these meetups during the one event, but even on a regular day like the day I took this, people do it.

I grew up in Appalachia but really don't get into this kind of music. A song about cornbread and butterbeans, both of which I don't eat. If it had been about Pizza, well, ok then. Still, good instrument playing and good vocals if you ARE into it.
