Hurricane Ike Damage to Downtown Houston

I live on the corner of San Jacinto and Texas. No damage whatsoever and we never lost power. I slept like a baby all night.

I went on a short stroll this morning to check out the damage. The most disturbing scene was on Smith Street near the bayou. There were about 100 dead sparrows laying on the ground. Not sure what killed 'em, but it was quite sobering. I couldn't bear to photograph them.
