I don't usually do the random snapshot thing [edit: 9/08: it's now one of my favorite things :)]... But I really like this.
My mom lives out in the boonies, and me, my boyfriend, and my best friend ventured out of the city to her house for Thanksgiving. My younger brother, grandma, and my mom's boyfriend-man were there too.
Well, my mom's boyfriend-man wanted to smoke the turkey, and my grandma (they're a year apart in age) volunteered to bring the turkey, but didn't think we should smoke it as "it only comes out good 1 out of 3 tries." He insisted, so she bought an 18 pound turkey, too large to fit in the smoker. They ended up having to slice it into pieces and smoked it anyways.
Ahh holidays with the family ;)

some of the best images i see these days are what some might call snap shots, i especially like snapshots from the 30's 40's 50's and so on we go through the ages

I agree. There's something nostalgic about taking a picture for the sake of capturing a moment.
