fiber optic jesus

we are drawn to the store gadgets and gizmos. we never buy anything. we just look around and marvel at all the kitschy things for sale and wonder about the people who buy them.

of all the fiber optic things for sale in this store - and there were hundreds - this is the one that really caught my attention. i want to know what kind of person has this in their home. sure, i have a velvet elvis, so maybe i shouldn't say much here but, really....isn't this somehow sacreligious? if not, it should be.

it's not just that the cradle if fiber optic. the whole stable is, as well as the gold or myrrh or whatever he is holding. i'm sure if they could have crammed a north star into the scene, that would have been the mother of all fiber optic stars.
