Tennessee is a long way from California, but sometimes I dream of taking my wife and my two Vespas to Morro Bay to ride around in some of those little beach towns to the north. Cambria would be high on the list. The trouble is, my wife feels like four wheels in the minimum, and although I have a dozen scooters, including my Vespa Rally and Vespa 90, she has never been on a scooter. Besides that, we are in our 70's and prefer to fly to California rather than drive a truck with two scooters on board. So it remains just a dream.
I am not expert on Vespas, but I did write a Vespa article for a web site. I called it "The Vespa Story." It can't be the complete story, because it is rather brief and includes just a few pictures.

This is hands down the best rally in CA since the 80's. Go to Ridesofmarch.com for yearly info. Put on by members of PUSHSTART MSC, STRANGEBREW SC, STRANGEBREWSCOOTERCREW.COM AND BULLETPROOFSCOOTERSHOP.COM / VESPA OF GROVER BEACH.

Rides of March is still going strong. We just finshed ROm 2010~! I am building a GS 160 vespa mk1 in similar fashion to what you all see here. So Classic. Got to love it.

Holly s...t Batman. Those are Sean and Carlo from Walnut, CA (circa late 80's?). I remember when Sean just finished rebuilding that GL (actually saw it in parts). I have not seen these guys since I got married in 92. Good times.
