The temperature says winter, but the sun has been working overtime and the river ice is too thin for much more than squirrels.

Feathered Bliss
This is where I wanted to be today. It was skin cracking-cold outside and this almost ancient down duvet is all I could think of--burrowing away from the frigid city.
The cover is a soft faded raw silk. It's worn in places, discoloured in others and the imperfections make it all the more desirable.
This feathered treasure came from the famed Château Frontenac, back in the late 50s or early 60s when the hotel was going through a purge of suites as it embraced the wonder of exciting new synthetics. D's family acquired almost a dozen of them. Two came our way this past summer and I'm going to do my best to see they last another 50 years.
