Tiny whale ...

awesome tones!
Tiny whale ... by asmundur.
I found this harbour porpoise on the beach in Garður about a month ago. My guess is that it's a rather young animal as it was only about 70 cm long and weighing 20 kg at the most. Adults from this species can grow upto 1.5-2 meters long. It may just be the most normal thing for a whale to become beached every now and then. But I fear it may have something to do with how we treat nature.

I myself have been doing fine recently. I haven't done much photography in the past few months, but that's all about to change. I'm starting to take photos and making images again. As alway's I'm hoping to improve my work and define my own style. If it catches someones eyes that a big bonus too.

I also revived my old blog

The vignette is a good idea here, as well as the general dark tone.

Oh, it breaks my heart and I agree about our perhaps having a part in this sad event.

I was thinking yesterday that I hadn't seen any work from you in my flickrfox in a while, so it is good to hear that you will be able to find time to pursue your art!

Greetings from very green (and rainy) Vernont!

Tangent~Artifact, here sometimes :)  Pro User  says:

I'd need to talk to you about such shots, someday :) Well... You know you're someone who's dear to me, here. I understand some fascination. I find it quite interesting. I don't share it entirely, but I find it truly interesting. I read many of your explanations. I found them surprising, challenging, odd sometimes to me but rather wise (who am I to tell? :) and appropriate. When possibly you're not saying the whole truth, but not lying either. I also like that you stand by your vision, even if this is not the popular one. So, no, I can't fave this picture. But really... Really you know, I fave the fact that someone stand by his vision.

Look... I don't need to fave one pic, anyway. Doesn't need this to keep in mind a vision :)

Cheers again, Asmundur. Sorry I wanted to say that...
