Took this one yesterday.. I'll be uploading more soon. Last photoshoot with the lighting kit that was borrowed to me a few weeks ago, it was taken back today.
I tried a 'classic' look with this one..
I need to discover some better editing techniques, I'm always the same. yawn.

thanks! It's so good to hear that. I was worried my self-portraits were all turning out too similar, because I never tend to stray very far from the red hues (cause of my hair i guess). :)

i can only guess, and im sure that wont even be it- wide aperture, and natural window light, maybe with some reflectors or diffusers? by the catchlights in your eyes, it doesn't look like you're using any flashes or other lights....
anyway, whether you decide to reveal your secrets or not, you do stunning work! you've inspired me!!!

for this one I used a lighting kit that was borrowed to me for a while, with a tinfoil reflector I made myself hehe. It was a few umbrella lights, with regular light bulbs. I usually just use window lighting :)

hmm.. i can see the reflector in your eye... but the top catchlight looks odd... like, an umbrella, but it looks like it's striped or something...... interesting.
i got some studio lights myself, but im definitely still learning how to use them! great job!

Your (in full view) eye is the highlight for me in this shot. Even though, it is the lighting kit effect, it still makes your eye look more alive. I also like how your scarf color complements your hair color. Intentional?
