Toasty

Toasty by a shrill caramel.
Lucky it's cold today, because this is sooo warm. Must be the alpaca.
The details:
Yarn: Berroco Ultra Alpaca in "Oceanic Mix", a tiny bit over 4 skeins.
Needles: 3.5mm and 4mm
Pattern: None, I just wanted a plain sweater but with a button placket at the shoulder, so I just made it up as I went along. Miraculously - it fits!

Thanks!
I really like it too - it's so soft and warm. Plus it comes in SO many colours! I'm already plotting more...

It's gorgeous! I love that you "made it up" to have set-in sleeves. Most sweathers I've seen in this style are raglans, but the set-in sleeves looks so much more elegant.

Thanks! I would have gone for raglans because of the easiness-factor, but I really wanted the button placket to be straight across the shoulder, rather than along a raglan seam. Plus set-in sleeves suit me better I think.

I think set-in sleeves suit me better too. I've been planning a plain striped raglan sweater and now you've inspired me to try to figure out how to do it with set-in sleeves. I'm sure I could figure out how to calculate a set-in sleeve, but I'm not sure how horizontal stripes would look with the sleeve seam and whether I could make the stripes match up somehow.
