you are original and creative,

Crop suggestion
This dark spot up here is a disruption to the flow of the red and blacks out the nice warm tone on the desk
This ISN'T desk... and to me (since it's at an angle) kind of breaks the flow of things. Both this and the top can be eliminated with a crop... or I guess you could try a reshoot and reposition the stuff

:) I think it can't help but make anyone smile. And I guess that;s a sign of a good photo.
I'm actually astounded by the texture of the paper when viewed large. I was not expecting so much detail and character in such a small little shred of paper.
The composition is simple, and since so is the message, it fits perfectly. Not too much clutter, not missing anything. The angle that it's taken at is also very good and engaging, not static or flat.
The red... what is that anyway a glow stick?? ... is pretty cool too. It gives the desk and paper a very warm hue to it and makes it stick out even more. It also makes this "more creative".
I'm not really good at taking abstract shots, but if I had to recommend anything it would be to crop it differently. The crop isn't so much to change the composition, but to get rid of two distracting elements on the top and bottom. It also fits the flow of the paper too.
Thanks for the smile :)

Great idea to capture such a interesting note. It would make me smile too. I like the DOF and colors, I do however agree with that suggested tighter crop.

On the technical side, I have no complaints. Dof, light, focus - all good. I disagree with the crop suggestion; I think the dark areas above and below add a kind of texture to the scene and act like an "in-built frame" for the subject.

So photographically speaking, the rest is really really subjective. I don't find the subject itself very interesting. The interest is slightly helped by the fact that the sticker is worn, which gives it texture and detail, but I don't see any particular context for the statement on it so it remains just a sticker with a nice phrase to me.

The point of view you've shot this from - on a diagonal - is definitely a good idea: it gives it dof. From head on, the subject would be flat and outright boring.

Extremely true words.

I loved the colr tones here and would agree to J-Fish's suggested crop.

Youve managed to focus 5 simple words so wonderfully that i Just have to fave this shot.
