Flesh
So this is the beginnings of our December series entitled
"flesh". I know this whole concept is a little overdone, but
i really can't think of anything else that communicates it well. The
whole idea is the church being the embodiment of Christ and being a
representative to our world. Any ideas or suggestions you all may have
would be so helpful!
Thanks!

I think the concept may work. You just need to tighten in a little bit. Try limiting the faces to literally just his flesh (not the hair, eyes, glasses, shirt) You may also want to choose a photo that looks a little more like Jesus.

I agree with cphpitts. I like the blend of photos and face on 03 [as apposed to 01]. But I don't like the people in the background. make the people just the flesh. jmo

Just to add another opinion, I prefer 1 :)

I can't decide!! :)
I like how #3 is totally different that what we've seen with this kind of concept in the past. And I think I would like #2 more if it the photos were masked out of the hair and shirt.
I'm torn between #2 and 3. :)

I vote for #2, but with the photos only on the face, not in the hair and shirt. Maybe even if you put the glasses on over the photos.

i would vote for #3 because of what Cameron said. it definitely puts a spin on it.

cphpitts agree. just drive to point home a bit harder.

If the concept is the church being the flesh embodiment of Christ, I might try a likeness of Christ replicated over the flesh of the image you are already using. Also consider doing one for a female, as well.
We all spend so much time in church, that we almost instinctively get that we are supposed to be the body of Christ - to the point that it becomes a commonplace assumption. Pursuing the design in the way I am suggesting focuses on the idea that it is Christ who should define our identity. For if Christ defines our individual identities, then the corporate result can be nothing short of us as the embodiment of the body of Christ.
(Sorry for the soap box.)

I like the concept, ditto cphpitts, except for "something that looks a little more like Jesus"? What did Jesus look like? Lets just have a normal man with a normal unremarkable face for Jesus, He's human as well as God, and probably didn't have wavy locks, thin nose or a soppy complexion.
I'd say 02 with individual pics on skin not hair etc.
