Persepolis was one of my favorite films last year but I was a little disappointed with Inland Empire...I am a fan of David Lynch in general but I really think it was a mistake of him to switch from film to digital without really mastering that art first...and the camera work on it really drives me crazy. I also got really annoyed with the derogative Asian stereotype.

I truely loved both, that's why I received them as presents, couldn't stop talking about them hahaha. Persepolis is such a beautiful and intelligent film, I'm a Satrapi fan ever since (i actually gave the book as a birthday gift to one of my friends and was later sorry i didn't keep it for myself :)).
And well... i have to agree that Inland Empire is not the regular filming style of Lynch but I liked it lots, it actually left me for hours wondering about what the plot is (if there's any). I enjoyed the cinematography and Laura Dern's acting so much!.
