Memories

This picture of me and my brother is one of my favourite pictures from childhood. It had been scanned ages ago and sitting forgotten on my computer.

Thought I'd spend some time on it and put it up to flickr to take a break from the landscape pictures I have been posting lately.

Standing on a bald rocky headland with a precipitious cliff on the east side, and a sheer drop of approximately 100 metres, Cape Byron Lighthouse is the most easterly light in Australia, and one of the most powerful.

This picture was taken at dawn during winter, however it was quite cloudy and we didn't really get to see the sun!

HDR image with three exposures -2EV, 0EV, +2EV.

Towards the end

Towards the end

I'd definitely View large

Photo taken in Shorncliffe pier which is in Brisbane at dusk.

The colours during sunset were amazing. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and the blue red and orange created some pretty cool gradients! It was a sunday afternoon - I really wanted to get a picture without any people in the view, but that just wasn't possible as it was full of families and other photographers!

This picture is a panorama merged from three pictures that I took, however isn't a HDR pic. The vibrance has been enhanced a bit to bring the colours out.

Shadows

Shadows

Shorncliffe pier is situated in the suburb of Shorncliffe in Brisbane Australia near Saint Patrick’s College the private school and lower Moora Park. This pier with its white faded timber railings, colonial street lamps spaced out along the stretch of pier, and resting shelter towards the end is a much visited attraction for families, residents and tourists to the area.

The sunset brought out some unreal colours as it shone through the pier. Loved the shadows from the light through the pillars!

Taken with my Nikon D90 and merged to HDR from three pictures taken at -2EV, 0EV, +2EV.
