BMW Isetta

BMW Isetta, the company's first mini car from 1955 had bench seating and was loved in Europe. On the back is a luggage rack where you strap your suitcases to. Love this.

Just a note on these - they were wildly popular in Europe in the mid 50's to 60's. Families would load into them and strap their luggage on the back racks and really strengthened the BMW's brand with how loyal people were to them.

The photos behind the car on the wall are people's family trips with the little car - I have some shots of these that I'll probably put up later. Definitely my favourite car in the museum too :)

These cars were all over the Miami area in the mid 50s. I was a small child at the time but I would just scream when I saw one because they were so funny looking! The door is on the front of the car. Thanks for posting.
