No. 14: Water melon sherbet with chocolate chips

Recipe (serves four): Mash 750 g of water melon in a mixer (I used a blender), chopped and seeds removed. Mix with 300 g of sugar. Slowly heat to boil together with 1 stick of cinnamon to dissolve the sugar. Simmer for one minute. Add 8 tbsp of lemon juice (about half a lemon), and cool. Remove the cinnamon stick. When cool, pour into a shallow box and freeze until stiff along the edges. Then, mash the sherbet with a fork and gently mix into the white of 1 egg, whipped stiff. Whip the blend until thick and frothy, and freeze. Stir occasinally (every 30 minutes works really good). When almost frozen, add 125 g of chocolate chips (takes and awful long time to prepare manually...). Before serving, soften in the fridge for a few minutes.

Delicate pastel colors... I like the kiwi touch!

(By the way - I actually started trying out the new rice cooker recipes. Applesauce with dried cherries and cinnamon. Smells awesome. Still too hot to eat!)
