Took this shot at approximately 7am on St. George's Island, FL. I wanted to try and capture a nice sunrise, but when I saw the view from the boardwalk, I couldn't resist. I particularly liked the leading lines from the handrails to the center of the image.
I know HDRs such as this one are not very popular with some people, but I really liked the way this one turned out. Since it was still a bit dark out, the original exposures contained either a very dark foreground, or a very overexposed sky, making them a prime candidate for HDR/tone-mapping. Yes, colors and contrast are exaggerated and not realistically accurate, giving it a surreal and unnatural look, but I find it very aesthetically pleasing!
HDR composed from 9 bracketed exposures, with 1/3-stop difference between them. I'm still fairly new to HDR's, so any comments/critiques or suggestions on how to improve are more than welcome!
