Gesture

A person can make a difference with even 'one' small gesture. This is a photograph that I created in my first year at University whilst on my foundation year. I was intrigued by the concept that one persons action be it good or bad could make a difference. My research took me to accounts given by survivors in horrific circumstances such as the holocaust as well as other genocidal historical events. Many told how during their individual ordeals they had come across kindness from people who had risked their own lives in some way. The words projected are from the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust which outlines a different theme each year for people to focus on.
