I distorted his face by moving his image on the photocopier and added shorthand text to his skin which is done on a court reporting machine. Bush Bin Laden and Blair. The lines cross over and merge. 'One person can make a difference' You just have to make a difference in the right way and not the wrong way. All of these people in this line drawing made a difference either positively or negatively. Reach out and touch someone in some small way and it will reverberate more than you know. 
This was an installation which I exhibited as part of my Major Final Project in 2006 for my Foundation Course at Manchester Metropolitan University. I was inspired after reading the theme 'One person can make a difference' for the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust which focuses on historical and present day genocide and highlights the terrible crimes that have and continue to happen in this crazy world. The theme that year focused on how even one small deed can make a difference to someone. This made me think of iconic people who have made a positive or negative difference to the world on a local and global scale. I have overlaid a series of portraits and included text relevant to the theme. This is not a particularly good photograph of the installation as it is not complete and offers only part of it. I learned so much about mans humanity and inhumanity toward man during my research which will stay with me forever.
