the ultimate relaxation I guess!

yeah, well in the apartment the hifi is a BIG part of relaxing, and at the moment we are testing some new speakers...do they fit accoustically, and visually can we live with them?...both very important issues.

Have you tried different tubes with your Prima Luna yet? And maybe you should get the amp up off the floor in an effort to control vibration effecting it.
p2an (74 months ago | reply)
spinsLPs - it is a good point re vibration. i don't fancy having an 'oil rig' like rack in the room, but maybe i could try some vibrapods or similar underneath the amp.

You are planning quite a serious upgrade for your Epos speakers! I wonder if you actually were convinced by the Auditoriums - have you gone ahead with your order?
Anyway they look like they belong there... hope to see some more pictures of them soon.

andreas, oh man the Auditoriums were really really great and i will go ahead and order them. we should have a listening session sometime then.

trevor, well just after i home demo'ed the LV, i was told that i have to leave this apartment. sad news - but i have just bought i an apartment in the neighbourhood, it is a bit smaller so i will probably have to do another demo to see if they work there. i have a bit of renovation work to do, but i will be posting fotos of the new place as things progress. hifi wise i think it will be pretty good.

Very nice, I have a pair of Auditorium II in Walnut on order. Having listened to a lot of speakers in this price range, for me the LV are a lot ahead in terms of resolving power, instruments sound far closer to real thing, and I just love the tone you get from these speakers. I am so looking forward to getting them and getting them run in. O and stunning pic, shame you had to move out.

oh yes, i wish my plans hadn't changed. i ended up keeping them on demo, the dealer wasn't in a hurry to take them back. oh man was i sad when they left. if i ever get another space big enough they will be back for sure. superb speaker. enjoy yours when they come.
