(Hugs to sweetie Mary for the screenshot too! thank you!)

Its very unusual for me to post at this time of the night :) i've been missing in action for my morning post today as u guess it..yes I was extremely busy & so running short of time at work that i can pull out my hair any minute...what kind of hair.. its up to u to guess depending on how filthy ur mind is lol! :P i'm definitely sure i'm very brain dead from work at this moment :) Honestly i need to have a good nite sleep now since its past 11pm. My eyes are pretty much going down on me but i will be back soon in the morning to catch up. When i'm sleepy, i feel rather romantic lol so here goes.. a shot i thought will set the mood. Take care & good night from down under! :)

About

The Sunset At Eagle on the Hill

The Shot

Standard 3 exposure shot (+2..0..-2 EV) with tripod using Sigma DC HSM 10-20mm lens

Photomatix

- Tonemapped generated HDR using detail enhancer option

Photoshop

- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'curves' to increase the contrast
- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'saturation' (blues) to increase the tone of the sky
- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'saturation' (yellows) to decrease the lightness of sunset
- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'level' to increase the brightness of the trees
- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'saturation' (reds) to lighten the harshness
- Applied digital blending of another tonemapped hdr to correct the slight branch movement
- Used 'unsharp mask' (as always) on the background layer

For the blues of the sky, I tend to use the photo filter>Cooling filter ( the middle one seems to work best for me ), this even works when the sky seems to lack blue colour completely.

... and of course just use a gradient in the mask.

Love the colors of the sky! Such rich tones. Nice HDR Artie.
