The saga to my yesterday’s shipwreck upload :P I know this is fairly bizzare however to me, there is always a mysterious beauty of a rusty old subject esp a shipwreck. I managed to climb inside the ship & walked along the side of it as there are too much water inside the ship itself. This is the view which I saw through one of the wrecked windows when I peeped over to have a look on the other side. I was overwhelmed as there are heaps more shipwrecks just a distance away but they are unreachable unless you scuba dive or canoe along the river. As you can see, there is another shipwreck right out of this window. Hmmm Wonder what treasure I will be able to find in there? Might be some valuable jewels …haha! just the thought intrigues me :D Hope not more condoms or sanitary pads pls! LOL!

The Shot

Standard 3 exposure shot (+2..0..-2 EV) taken handheld using Sigma DC HSM 10-20mm lens

Photomatix

- Tonemapped generated HDR using detail enhancer option

Photoshop

- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'curves' to increase the contrast
- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'saturation' (yellows & reds) to decrease the overall rusty tone
- Added 1 layer mask effects of 'saturation' (blues) to slightly adjust the tone of some part of the sky
- Used 'unsharp mask' (as always) on the background layer

Artie, diving on old shipwrecks is truly something special and the waters around Papua New Guinea are full of them from the 2nd world war.

HAHAHAH you are so gross, but piss funny. Now this appeals to me a lot on many levels, I like natural abstract, it really is eye candy, now this I would hang on my wall. I also really like how you've focused this, sort of fuzzy at the start, nice lead up. At the moment this is my favourite of yours, excellent work!
