This is one tough area to access especially for photography. I was really lucky to get a really low tide at that time of the day which allows me to walk through the deep muddy mangrove to get to the actual shipwreck. My shoes are all muddy & hard to walk in that thick soft mud. I reckon the scariest part is not knowing if there are snakes! If I see one, I swear I will be up & away to my car like a roadrunner… with a nice warm wet undies to go with it for sure haha! I’ve never been to a place like this before & completely amazed with what I can find there! A gem to me ..& I bet its history will be as intriguing to find out too! Hope you enjoy it ;)

The Shipwreck at Garden Island, Port Adelaide

The Shot

Standard 3 exposure shot (+2..0..-2 EV) with tripod using Sigma DC HSM 10-20mm lens

- Tonemapped generated HDR using detail enhancer option

- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'curves' to increase the contrast

- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'saturation' (yellows & reds) to decrease the overall tone

- Added 1 layer mask effects of 'saturation' (blues) to slightly adjust the tone of some part of the sky

- Used 'unsharp mask' (as always) on the background layer

All comments, criticism and tips for improvements are (as always) welcome.
