inside the blue mosque at noon

The Blue Mosque in Istanbul is one of the most fantastic buildings I have ever seen. The domes, the blue ornamented tiles... the floral carpets, every detail of it is amazing.

At prayer times the mosque is closed for visitors (except those who come to pray) and becomes very quiet and peaceful... this photograph is from the moments I spent sitting during that time, alone with my thoughts and just taking everything in.
